Description
The Institute of Sport provides a range of science and medicine services to the National Governing Bodies of Sport to support their high performance programmes. These are specialist services that require a high degree of training and experience in order to meet the needs of the high performance athletes and coaches. Services areas include: strength and conditioning, physiology, sports nutrition, psychology, performance analysis, biomechanics, medicine and physiotherapyThe ISC wishes to appoint Strength and Conditioning Consultant to provide expert services in the following areas:- Deliver expert strength and conditioning coaching to developmental athletes (focus on 2016 and 2020 athletes) primarily working with track and field athletics- Develop, deliver and monitor individual training programmes- Support coaches to deliver the technical training programmes- Support medical and physiotherapy staff to deliver rehabilitation programmes- Provide administration necessary to implement the services and liaise with other ISC units
