Description Customer Service Centre Electronic Queuing System The awarding authority operates a customer service network which contains nine customer service sites. Customers visit the customer service centres to access council services which include services such as housing, council tax, welfare benefits, environmental health and street scene services. The Council are opening a new flagship city centre site in December 2010. This project has highlighted the need for a sophisticated queuing system to manage the potential of 800-1200 customers visiting the centre on a daily basis, for a variety of services. The Council would also like to procure a queuing system for this flagship CSC with connectivity (at a later time) to the other nine remote sites. They have less customer activity ranging from 50 to 200 per day for the same range of activities. The physicality of the remote sites differs and will require different functionalities of a queuing system as detailed further in this specification. The contract specifically relates to the queuing solution at this flagship centre; the actual equipment will be installed in the Council's computer centre with fibre optic connectivity to the building; hereby allowing for additional connectivity to the remote sites through localised hardware/solution but which can be controlled at a single-central point. The contract duration will be for 12 months with an option to extend for additional 12 months contracts thereafter.
