Description TASK DESCRIPTION FOR TELEPHONY ENGINEERING SUPPORT FOR INNSWORTH STATION 1. Telephony engineering support is required to provide the following services. a. Provide fault diagnosis and repair service in response to requests from users on Innsworth Station. Liaise with external agencies and telephony operators as required. b. Service requests for approved new telephony services in accordance with Innsworth Station Standing Orders. c. Maintain control of access to the frame room and DFTS switch room. Maintain up to date list of personnel with authorised access in conjunction with HQ 1 Signal Brigade. d. Inspect, maintain and repair as required all distributed telephony cabling and associated equipment within Innsworth Station.. e. Devise and maintain forward maintenance register for telephony infrastructure within Innsworth Station f. Maintain service logs and records for telephony infrastructure and terminal equipment on Innsworth Station.. g. Hold and manage equipment and spares for telephony services. Maintain stocks and demand new supplies in accordance with current regulations. h. Liaise with external contractor appointed by Headquarters 4 Division over emergency and planned work requiring external contractor support.. i. Other duties in connection with Innsworth Station telephony business within the range for the grade as required by line management.
