Description
The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) is seeking applications from suitably experienced organisations to design/produce a suite of Cardiac First Response (CFR) training materials. The suite of materials will consist of:- An Instructor Manual. This will be used by PHECC recognised CFR Instructors in the delivery of CFR training.- A Student Handbook. This handbook will be given to each student undertaking PHECC CFR training. This will include downloadable sections in PDF format.- An Instructional DVD. The DVD will be the main training aid in the delivery of CFR course. It will be incorporated in the Instructor Manual Publication. This will feature elements such as how to recognise and treat Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest(inc Adult, Infant and Child CPR & AED use), Stroke, Choking(Adult-Infant). All products in the suite should form an integrated training pack. Stills and images from the DVD will ideally be incorporated in the printed materials. The DVD will feature timed breaks where students can engage in hands on time & assessment. The set up of the DVD should feature a menu that can allow the instructor to pre-set the timings of breaks and therefore the total running length to cater for varying class sizes. The portrayal of scenarios using actors/V.O/presenter will be favoured over animated characters. It is envisaged that the course duration will be in the region of 4 hours.The ideal applicant will offer an integrated offering including the design and development of both the printed materials and the DVD. However submissions will be accepted for the development of the individual elements of "Printed Materials" or "DVD".For printed materials, applicants should supply quotes based on design of material and not printing.Short-listing will be carried out on the basis of: the quality of the purposed product, previous experience in developing educational materials, examples of previous work, technology - production and post-production facilities, and cost(applicants must supply detailed breakdown of all costings).Short-listed applicants may be invited to present their concepts and examples of work at a panel interview with the project team.
