Description
The Adult & Community Services Department wishes to invite Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced organisations with the ability to supply a comprehensive Clinical Waste disposal service to various Southend on Sea Borough Council premises. The premises in question provide care and support for vulnerable adults and older people and the requirement for an efficient service that ensures removal of waste in a manner that causes the minimum of intrusion to the lives of residents, service users and staff is paramount. Existing arrangements are tailored to the needs of each location and the successful organisation will be expected to liaise closely with individual managers, who will make adjustments to their service requirements as and when necessary. The successful organisation will be expected to be in a position to commence providing the service from December 2010. It is intended to award the contracts for an initial period of 60 (sixty) months with an option to extend for a further 24 (twenty four) months at the discretion of the Council. The last date to request a PQQ is: 13.00 on the 27th September 2010. The closing date for the return of the completed PQQ is: 15.00 on the 1st October 2010. Clinical-waste disposal services.
