Refurbishment of the steel pool tank at the specified location. The awarding authority are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Principal Contractors wishing to be considered for works at Polkyth Swimming Pool, St Austell. The works comprise the removal of the existing paint by means of blast cleaning using copper slag, or similar approved method to the specified standards, and provide an impervious, seamless lining membrane which allows thermal expansion within the steel tank but is also chemical tolerant and will stop future corrosion to the steel pool tank. Following the provision of the lining membrane, the pool is to be painted with top coats to the specified colour, followed by swimming lane, water polo markings and other artwork. These works must be completed over an estimated 6 week period between the dates set out below.
