Kent County Council is looking to appoint a single supplier to provide loss adjusting services to the Council via a framework arrangement. The Council owns or leases in excess of 1400 properties largely comprising of schools and offices. The Council has a long term agreement with Zurich Municipal Insurance for insurance services covering its property portfolio. Under this agreement the Council self insures all losses up to £100,000 for non-education and up to £250,000 for education properties. The appointed contractor will provide loss adjusting services for the mangement of losses estimated to exceed £5,000 but below the self insured levels. Approximately 50 such incidents have occurred in each of the last two years. Potential contractors wil be required to show, in the tender response, amongst other things a good and current understanding of Zurich Municipal Insurance's approach and working arrangements, including its 'Select' property policy, for the management and processing of claims.
