Description
The Qualification and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) is a non-departmental public body accountable to the Secretary of State for Education. The Government has announced its intention to close QCDA but has also made clear that certain of its functions will continue to be delivered under new arrangements. One of these ongoing functions is the conduct of National Curriculum Tests. QCDA seeks a supplier to act on its behalf and make unannounced visits to a sample of around 200 schools in May of each year to assess the integrity of test administration, document security and despatch processes. The supplier will also analyse data provided from these visits together with data provided by local authorities for maintained schools and make recommendations on future corrective actions.
