Description Located on the Mall Waterford the Bishops Palace was designed by John Roberts in 1746 and was used as a residance by former Bishops and staff offices for Waterford City Council until June 2010. The Building currently lies vacent and there are now Proposals to open the building as an 18th Century House and Museum. To complement this work on the Building a formal 18th century Garden will be reinstated to the front of the palace. The spanish civil war memorial to the front will be relocated to a specially designed Spanish Garden between the palace and Theatre Royal and a contemporary garden will replace an existing carpark to the side of the Palace.
