Description
This is an invitation to submit Expressions of Interest to deliver activities, supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Convergence Programme for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This opportunity is designed to provide targeted business support aimed at significantly increasing the productivity of the broader business base through stimulating and embedding enterprise activity within businesses. Likely activities include: - Extending and coordinating enterprise work with the student population (Further and Higher Education). - Providing targeted business support and actions to address weaknesses which inhibit growth across the business base. - Attracting and hosting, inspirational 'world recognised' enterprise speakers, ensuring this is translated into tailored support programmes - Developing research expertise around the needs and growth potential of an SME dominated economy. - To maximising ESF investments in enterprise throughout the programme The indicative investment range for an Enterprise Programme in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is GBP 2,200,000 over a 5 year period with the intended start date being January 2011. Please note that any applicant must be able to provide match funding of 25% total project costs. There is also the possibility of ERDF Capital funding being made available (also to be match funded) if necessary to deliver the product. All questions and / or requests for questionnaire must be submitted in writing. Please note the deadline for submission is 5pm on the Friday 17th September.
